It is quite rare to come accross an early Seamaster in such fine condition. It has been worn but the signs are few. There are no dinks and only micro scratches.
The stainless steel case is in exceptional condition as is the snap-on case-back. It's the classic early Seamaster design with its robust bezel and beefy lugs. A watch very much in favour with Omega collectors and enthusiasts.
The dial is all original and in exceptionally good condition. It's an unmarked two-tone silver waffle dial. Applied golden chamfered hour batons. Matching golden Dauphine hands. Sweep seconds hand. Applied Omega logo in gold. Omega, Seamaster and Swiss Made are printed in black. The hour batons originally had small balls of luminous material on their tips. Some of these have decayed although not generally visible to the unaided eye. Original Seamaster crown.
The stainless steel case has no dinks or scratches. There are micro scratches from handling. The case-back is in similar top condition. The markings "waterproof" and "Seamaster" are highly defined showing no signs of wear or polishing. It would not be rated waterproof today and you are recommended to keep it away from any water. Inside the case-back it's fully marked Omega.
The watch is run by the Omega manual calibe 420. In superb condition and running as it should.
The watch comes with a brand new non-Omega genuine leather black strap.
