Introduced in 1948, this 1950 Seamaster is one of the early examples that you rarely see. With its beefy lugs and significant bezel it's the genuinel classic model.
All original, this Seamaster comes in excellent condition and clearly has been well cared-for over the years. The distinct waffle dial has a two-tone finish and is virtually unmarked. The colour has mellowed a little so it presents with an attractive patina. It has applied golden Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 with arrowhead batons in between. Gold Dauphine hands with black inserts and a sweep seconds hand. The applied Omega logo is also in gold. It is signed Omega, Automatic, Seamaster and Swiss Made in black. Original Seamaster crown.
The stainless steel case is in good condition with only minor dinks and scratches. The case back is screw fit and fully marked on the inside for Omega.
Inside is the Omega calibre 351 movement. This is an automatic "bumper" which self winds generating its energy as the arm moves. In great working order.
The watch comes with used, non-Omega black leather strap and silver buckle.
