Omega watches of the era were typically 34mm in diameter, early Seamasters rarely more than 34mm so with this watch measuring a tad over 38mm it's truly a jumbo.
The dial is all original and has a two tone finish which has mellowed over the years with an attractive patina. Gold coloured hands. Small seconds sub-dial at 6 with a black seconds hand and Guilloche finish. Combination raised hour markers with an Arabic 12. Raised Omega logo and signed Omega in black. Inner circle minute index. The acrylic is in good condition. The crown is probably a historical replacement.
The case looks to be gold plate with the plate being fully intact on the visible surfaces. Omega never scrimpted on the gold, rarely using a covering of less than 20 microns thickness which is why it rarely rubs through. The case back is stainless steel and is fully marked Omega.
Inside is the Omega calibre 265. This is a derivative of the 30 series which was the mainstay of Omega watch production for 25 years. An excellent timepiece.
Comes with a used non Omega black leather strap and gold coloured buckle.
