This is a beautiful gold plate Omega produced in about 1945. Its outstanding feature is the stunning patinated golden dial. Overall in very good condition and running well.

The diameter of the watch is 33mm excluding the crown and is typical of the period. For comparison, the average size of the classic 1950s Seamaster is about 34mm.

The central sector of the dial is golden; the outer sector, containing the Roman numerals is also golden and there are signs that this sector had a polished finish when new. The minute index comprises of dots. The Dauphine hands are probably replacements. The crown is generic. The small seconds dial at 6 is slightly sunken and has a circular Guilloche finish.

The case is 20 microns gold plated and is in very good condition with only minor scratches. The case back is stainless steel and is fully stamped Omega.

Inside is the Omega 28 17P movement running well and keeping good time.

The watch comes with a new non-Omega black leather strap.
