Here we have an Omega pocket watch provided for the British Military 1939-1944 during WW11. Stamped on the back is the broad arrow together with G.S.T.P. (General Service Trade Pattern) 063939.
The case is in good condition for an 80 year old watch, just some rubbing of the gilded finish on the edge. There are no significant dinks or scratches. The inside of the case back is marked Omega.
The dial is in good condition! There are no hairline cracks and hardly any fading. The stout Arabic numerals are still in saturated black and retain most of their original luminous material at 3, 9 and 12. Railroad track outer with some of the original luminous dots at hourly points. The skeleton hands are missing most of their luminous material. Small seconds sunken subdial at 6. Signed Omega. Crown and bow original.
Inside is the Omega calibre 38.5 LT1 movement, very clean and in excellent condition. Runs really well .
A wonderful piece of Swiss / British WW2 heritage.
