A delightful Omega dress watch from the early WW11 period with a 30T2 movement in an 18k solid gold case.
At 34.8 mm diameter (excluding the crown) this is a relatively large mans watch for the period. Slightly larger than the average Seamaster but with a smaller bezel means that the dial is significantly larger and consequently has great wrist presence. The dial is in excellent condition and there are signs that it has been refurbished in the past. Roman numeral hour indexes. Fabulous Pontife hands. Small seconds sunken sub-dial at 6 withe Guilloche engineered circles. Unmarked crown which may be original.
The Swiss-made case is 18k gold and is fully hallmarked on the inside of the case-back. Generally the case is in very good condition. Other than one indentation in the case-back there are only micro-scratches. One of the lugs (holding the strap) is slightly out of alignment but is hardly noticeable.
The movement is the legendary Omega calibre 30T2. Runs well.
The watch comes with a new, non-Omega genuine leather strap.
