This is an exceptional Omega Geneve from 1979 in almost mint condition. 34.4mm diameter ex crown.
The stunning sunburst golden dial is unmarked. The colour saturation is of a watch that has rarely seen the light of day. The hour batons are topped in black and all but the quarters have a dot of lume. The matching golden hands also have black and lume inserts. Sweep seconds hand. Applied Omega logo with Omega, Automatic, Geneve and Swiss Made printed in black. Quick-set date at three. Pull out the original crown one stop to adjust. The original Omega acrylic is virtually as new and has the Omega logo etched in the centre.
The gold-plated case is virtually unmarked looking almost as new. There is no evidence at all of plate wear; not surprising for a watch that has probably rarely been worn. The stainless steel caseback is unworn and displays its original vertical brushing. Inside the caseback it is fully marked Omega with the model number 166.0202. The case is shared the the Seamaster of the same era.
Powering this masterpiece is the Omega 1010 automatic calibre, a reliable movement that operates with remarkable precision, ensuring accurate timekeeping.
Accompanying this remarkable timepiece is a lightly used black leather strap, offering both comfort and style, although it is not an Omega original.
An extraordinary opportunity to own a piece of horological history—the Omega Geneve from 1979, preserved in almost mint condition. Immerse yourself in its timeless beauty and experience the luxury that only Omega can provide.
