For many this is a "Grail" timepiece - to have it on your wrist, it's easy to see why but there's far more to it than just what the eye can see.
This is a beautifully proportioned watch in superb condition. Everything works as it should as you would expect from a very well cared for watch. The stainless steel case is gold capped and has only minor dents and scratches with minimal rub through of the gold. The case-back is snap-fit made of stainless steel. The round pushers (new in 2019) snap into action with a "tight" click. The top pusher operates the sweep seconds hand and the two chrono subdial hands. Push it again to stop the action. Push the bottom pusher and all the hands reset. The crown is a genuine Omega replacement. The case diameter is 34mm excluding the crown and pushers.
The dial is a delight with just a little minor age-spotting. Small seconds sunken subdial at 9. When activated the sweep seconds hand runs with each minute accumulating in the subdial at 3 to a maximum of 30 minutes. A further subdial then records the elapsed time to a maximum of 12 hours. Golden applied arrowhead hour batons. Outer tachymetric scale. Applied Omega golden logo and signed Seamaster in black. Genuine replacement acrylic with the Omega logo etched in the centre.
Inside is the Omega calibre 321. This is one of the most respected Omega calibres ever made. The calibre that was chosen by NASA to go to the moon! There is much about it on the internet should you want to do some research. Amazingly, 2020 has seen Omega relaunch the 321 as a limited edition (already sold out) in their Speedmaster Moonwatch. Click here to see what it's all about on the Omega site.
This watch was fully serviced in November 2019 at a cost of 768 Euros. A copy of the receipt will be included.
It comes with a new tan leather non- Omega strap (not the black one in the photographs).
