If you are a fan of patina then take a close look at the dial on this Seamaster. It looks like normal ageing has taken place but, look closely, and it's like crazy paving!
The cream dial has matching hands with black inserts. Sweep seconds hand. Black-topped applied gold coloured hour batons. Applied Omega logo and signed Omega, Seamaster, Automatic and Swiss Made. Seamaster crown.
The case is stainless steel caped in solid rose gold. Omega was always generous with the gold in these watches and this example shows no rub through even on the most likely areas, the lug edges. Chamfered bezel. There are a few minor dinks but nothing that really notices. Turning the watch over, the case back displays the Seamonster. This the 19 mm Seamaster logo. It's very hard to find as it was only produced during 1958 after which production moved to the smaller 16 mm medallion. It's fully marked Omega on the inside.
Inside, the watch is run by the Omega manufactured calibre 501. This is the full rotor automatic that winds itself up from the energy generated when worn on a moving wrist. Runs really well.
The watch comes with an oversized lizard-effect strap (non Omega).
