An interesting Seamaster that's a little different from the norm with its 33.4 diameter case and a stainless steel bezel fitting over a gold-capped case. The average Seamaster is about 34.5mm so this is about 1mm smaller and most Seamasters have bezels that match their case so it's quite rare to have one sporting different metal finishes. An interesting contrast though.
Built in 1956/7 this Seamaster is in good overall condition only a few minor dinks in the case which are hardly visible and no major scratches. Omega always applies a very thick coating of gold in their gold-capped watches which is why there is no rub-through on this watch despite it being some 63 years old. The snap-on case-back is stainless steel and is lightly marked waterproof. Whilst there is a seal inside the case I would recommend you keep it away from any type of water! The inside of the case-back is fully marked Omega. Original Omega signed crown.
The dial is very interesting too with its age spots and spreading patina. Gold coloured Dauphine hands and matching sweep seconds hand. Faceted gold coloured hour batons. Signed Omega, Seamaster, automatic and Swiss made in black.
The watch is run by an Omega 471 calibre movement that has recently been fully serviced. It's an automatic watch that winds itself up when worn.
Comes complete with a used dual colour Speidel expanding bracelet suitable for up to a large wrist
