An early Seamaster, this watch came into life in 1952 in a range that was introduced in 1948. Designed and marketed as the watch for the active man it displays the features that make it a classic today. A robust, round case with beefy lugs and a wide bezel.
This watch is in good used condition and runs well. The case and lugs are gold capped whilst the case-back is stainless steel. There are the usual signs of wear but no significant dents or scratches to the case and no rub through of the gold capping even on the lugs.
The dial has mellowed over the years with an even patina. There are gold coloured hour batons with Arabic numerals on the quarters. Gold Dauphine hands with a central sweep seconds hand. Applied Omega logo and, printed in black, is Omega, Automatic, Seamaster and Swiss Made. Original Seamaster crown. The gold capping is missing from the centre of the crown
Inside is the Omega calibre 354 bumper movement which has recently been serviced.
The watch comes with a lightly used green patterned non Omega strap.
