A very presentable Omega Seamaster in a gold-capped case and a bumper movement. Introduced in 1948 the Seamaster was marketed for the active man. It was superbly engineered building on the legacy of the robust military watches that Omega built in the 1940s. These early versions are favoured for their rugged appearance with a heavy bezel and beefy lugs. A true classic.
The dial is in excellent, almost unmarked condition. Arrowhead hour batons apart from 12, 3 and 9. Gold coloured Dauphine hands and a matching seconds hand set in a Guilloche finished sunken sub-dial at 6. The overall appearance of the case is excellent however if you look very closely, there is some rub-through of the gold on the lugs. The acrylic has small scratches. The crown is the original and is signed Omega.
Inside is the Omega calibre 344. The watch is self-winding when worn. A weight inside responds to the movement of the wearer's wrist and stores the energy in the mainspring.
Comes with a used black leather non Omega strap and Omega signed gold coloured buckle.
