Classic 1950s Omega Seamaster Chronometer - everything you would expect from the watch that was marketed towards the active man of the time - robust case (legendary beefy lugs), latest technology (anti-magnetic, Incabloc anti-shock and waterproof) and accurate time-keeping.
 
This is a chronometer with the Omega built 505 chronometer calibre inside. After manufacture, it would have been independently tested for accuracy over 360 hours in 5 positions and 5 temperatures, arctic to hot desert. Probably no more than 1% of Seamasters produced in this era were chronometers.
 
The dial is magnificent and has been professionally refurbished to reflects how it was when manufactured. Only when looking at it under magnification will you appreciate the superb quality of workmanship. It's a work of art!
 
The gold capped case is in excellent condition. It only has a few tiny dents that suggest it's been a very well-cared-for watch. The crown is an Omega replacement. The stainless steel snap-on case back is signed both Seamaster and waterproof although I would recommend that you keep the watch well away from any water.
 
Comes with a brand new tan leather strap and Omega signed buckle.
