This watch takes you back in Omega history to when there was no such thing as a Seamaster, Constellation or Speedmaster. A time of simplicity when you just bought an Omega! An appearance that clearly shows its heritage in pocket watches and a design that was to radically evolve in the next 10 years into the classic styles that we have become more accustomed to.
A mans size watch "of the day" this is small by todays standards (30.5mm) and, if bought to be worn rather than collected, would be suitable for the man with a smaller wrist or indeed a lady.
This is a wrist watch with a dial in exceptionally good condition. Colour almost original as the day it was created and free from hairline cracks. Beautiful Breguet blued steel hands with matching Breguet numerals. Delightful sunken small seconds at 6. Signed Omega plus the logo.
The metal case is free from dints which, when considering the condition of the dial, suggests this is a watch that has had little use and hs been well cared for. Traditional hinged case back. Inside the case-back it is marked Omega. Soldered wire lugs. Probably non-Omega replacement crown.
The watch runs using the well respected Omega calibre 26.5 SOB movement. As you would expect this too is in excellent clean condition.
In summary a superb watch for someone who enjoys the earlier years of Omega watchmaking.
Please not that this watch will come without a strap. Strap not included!
Note that the pictures of the dial were taken outdoors in natural light. Shaded or variable coloures on the dial are simply shadows.
