This all original 1924 Omega Hunter is in excellent all-round condition.
The case was manufactured by the famous American case-maker's Fahys. It's exceptionally clean with no significant dents or scratches. Both the front and back have a Guilloche (engineered) finish whilst the front has a blanc centre which could be used for initials or a coat of arms. To tell the time depress the crown and the case front springs open revealing the dial. The inside of both the case-front and case-back are marked Fahys. Sitting behind the case-back is a dust cover that is inscribed with Fahys gold plating guarantee for 20 years. All three covers are stamped with the same serial number so they are the official set made for each other.
The dial has a gold finish and is also in excellent condition especially when considering its age. The hours are marked by raised Breguet style polished Arabic numerals whilst the minute index is a series of drilled dots. Hours 13 to 24 are painted in red. There is a small seconds sunken sub-dial at 6. The hands are Breguet-style moon-shaped. Signed Omega together with the Omega logo.
The movement is signed Omega and runs well, generally about 2 minutes slow per day which is perfectly acceptable for a pocket watch of this antiquity. This 18SPB movement is reliable and was in production for 34 years.
